Dr. Mamadou Saidou Alareny Baldé, MD, MPH

Dr. Mamadou Saidou Alareny Baldé is a visionary public health leader with over 14 years of experience in health systems strengthening, epidemiology, strategic planning, and healthcare quality improvement. He is committed to advancing health equity and promoting sustainable longevity through science, innovation, and compassionate leadership.
Before founding Alareny Public Health (APH) in 2024, Dr. Baldé served nearly a decade with the Guinean Ministry of Health. He began his career as Head of the Planning, Training, and Research Section for the Health District of Mali and later served as Head of the Division of Quality Assurance and Risk Management and National Coordinator for Assessing the Global Patient Safety Action Plan at the National Directorate of Public and Private Hospitals. In these roles, he led national initiatives in healthcare quality, infection prevention and control (IPC), and occupational health and safety, collaborating with global partners such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Bank, and the International Labour Organization (ILO). His work supported national policies on hospital safety and workforce protection, as well as widespread IPC evaluations and capacity-building programs.
Earlier, Dr. Baldé worked as a consultant and epidemiologist with WHO, supporting disease surveillance and emergency responses during crises including Ebola, and polio eradication. He also founded AMESCOM (Association Meilleurs Santé Communautaire, decree No. 6359/MATD/CAB/SERPOMA/2012 — “Association for Better Community Health”), which promotes community health through education and evidence-based interventions. His expertise spans operational research, community health promotion, and academic teaching.
At Alareny Public Health, Dr. Baldé leads a modern institution dedicated to consulting, capacity building, research, coaching, and mentoring. Under his leadership, APH works to strengthen health systems, promote preventive healthcare, and support healthy longevity globally.
Dr. Baldé holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Conakry, a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Regional Institute of Public Health of Ouidah (Benin), and professional certifications from the University of Geneva, CNAM (France), and the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS). He has published in journals including Drug and Alcohol Review, Santé Publique, Guinée Médicale, and the International Journal of Community Medicine and Public Health.
Fluent in French and English, with basic knowledge of Arabic, Dr. Baldé combines academic rigor and field experience to position APH as a global leader in health equity, prevention, and sustainable longevity. Beyond his professional responsibilities, he dedicates his time to research, writing, and evidence-based community health advocacy.
